Title: ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN COLORADO SPRINGS
Location:

Self-Sustaining Approach to Community Development

Old and deteriorating infrastructure coupled with rising energy costs, water shortages, and concerns about air quality and health, will require communities to upgrade their existing home and building stocks.   Unless done using market-based approach, these upgrades will tax local economies that are already floundering.   The good news is that there is a way to upgrade the infrastructure using a self-sustaining approach that will also generate local jobs, economic development, enhance property values and improve the health and comfort of the occupants.
