On the evening of February 8, 1981, members of the Denver Fire Department responded to the XV Logan Apartments, located on North Logan Street, on a report of a structure fire. After the fire was extinguished, emergency crews located 13 month old Gerald Perez along with two other victims deceased inside of the apartment.
