About this Case:
Members of the Denver Police Department responded to the area of W. 47th Avenue and Bryant Street on a report of a deceased male within the alley. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, later identified as James Monroe Smith. During the preliminary investigation it was determined James Smith was beaten and stabbed to death. James Smith was homeless at the time of his murder and was known to frequent bars in the north Denver area. The suspect(s) responsible for the death of James Monroe Smith have yet to be identified.
