Shortly after midnight on November 5, 1975, 35 year old Andrew Summers was returning home to his residence, which was located just north of City Park Municipal Golf Course, when he was shot by an unknown suspect(s). Andrew Summers died at the scene. Prior to his death, Andrew Summers was a member of the United States Army and the proprietor of a local drinking establishment called Max's Tavern.
