On the evening of July 1, 1981, at the location of West 11th Avenue and Navajo Street, 43 year old Alfred Trujillo was hanging out with family and friends at La Alma Park. At some point during the evening, Alfred Trujillo was shot by an unknown suspect. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, but died as a result of his injuries the following morning.
