About this Case:
On March 16, 1982, a local resident found Mr. Tompkins lifeless on the side of Quail Run Road (County Road 105). He was fully clothed and clean. There were no signs of struggle or large amounts of blood in the area, leading investigators to believe Tompkins had not been killed at the site. Autopsy revealed Tompkins had been shot a total of 12 times along with his skull being fractured.
