On November 24, 1985, the nude body of Lenora Christina Cortez was found on the side of US HWY 285 and Light Lane in Conifer, CO by a motorist. Her identity was initially unknown, but after an artist's rendering of the victim, she was identified as 21 year old Lenora Christina Cortez. Lenora was identified by her family members and was described as a Denver transient without a permanent home address. She was known to frequent the Larimer Street area in downtown Denver.
