On October 28, 1990, the body of Jose San Juan Garcia was found on the south side of Interstate 70 at mile marker 249. Jose had received multiple gunshot wounds. Jose was a Mexican national who was working and living in Vail, Colorado. The day before his murder he was traveling back to Mexico to see his family.
