About this Case:
On September 1, 1979, a family picking cattails found a body down an embankment, near Indiana and West 82nd Avenue. The body was later identified as Linda Hutchings, a 17-year-old Arvada resident. Linda had been reported missing to the Arvada Police Department on August 15, 1979. She was last seen at a friend's apartment in Lakewood wearing white jeans, a white peasant-style top with embroidery, and tennis shoes. She may have been wearing a red coat. In the early morning hours of August 15 she left a note indicating she was headed home. Friends believed she had intended to hitchhike.
