Tye and his brother Rob were closing their local business, "Assay Office Restaurant," located at 6801 W. Alameda Ave., at closing time when an unknown male suspect attempted to robb them. It resulted in a struggle and 21 year old Tye Baker was shot and killed. His brother Rob Baker was also shot and wounded in the struggle.
