About this Case:
On April 6, 1997 around 2:00am, the body of Noel Perea-Chavez was found near the 1600 block of E. Routt Avenue. Mr. Perea-Chavez had suffered a single gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was shot to death by a passing pickup truck as he dropped off a friend in front of an apartment building in Bessemer. The only description of the truck was that it was teal green, or possibly white and green. Prior to the incident, Perea-Chavez and his friends reportedly were returning from a night club on Lake Avenue. Mr. Perea-Chavez was believed to be from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but was living temporarily with relatives at the Red Rocks Apartments on Pueblo's East Side.
