About this Case:
Velez was gunned down in an alley in the 1900 block of East 6th Street on September 22,1997, just before 9pm. He was attempting to chase down two masked, unidentified men who were reportedly harassing his girlfriend outside of the couple's home. The masked men were reportedly asking for money. Investigators believe the weapon used was a revolver. The motive could have potentially been drug and/or robbery involved.
