About this Case:

On June 1, 2003, from 8:17 pm to 8:53 pm Margarette Brown made phone calls to her grandfather and a friend. At 9:01 pm she called 911. The 911 operator noticed that she sounded intoxicated. Margarette reported that there were two females in her house. She did not identify them, she said she just wanted them gone. Two WCSO deputies responded, and upon arrival they found the lights on in the house, and the front door open, with the screen door closed. They looked inside the residence and called out for Margarette, but no one appeared to be home. One June 4, 2003, Brown's body was found in an irrigation canal near Weld County Roads 43 and 90. Margarette was a mother of four children and was 40-years-old at the time of her death. Many friends and family members have been interviewed during the investigation, but no leads have been developed.
