About this Case:
On Aug. 27, 1986, Gerald J. Dreiling was discovered dead in his home by one of his family members. He had returned home from a family gathering to change the water in an irrigation ditch, and when he did not return to the gathering after an hour, a family member went to check on him. After finding Gerald face down in his house, the family member called 911, and emergency personnel responded. It appeared to the detectives Gerald may have interrupted a burglary at his residence, and he was forced to lie prone in a hallway and was shot.
