About this Case:
On September 18, 2011, officers from the Denver Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Rockstar Lounge in the 100 block of 8th Street. Upon arrival, officers found Marquez Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Jones had been leaving the Rockstar Lounge just before 2:00am when an altercation broke out. A group of 20 to 30 men were involved in the argument, which escalated to punches in a parking lot. Marquez and his friends tried to leave, but they were chased down an alley. It was when Mr. Jones approached his car that he was fatally shot in the head. The person responsible for the death of Marquez Jones have yet to be identified and apprehended.
