On September 29, 1975, Boulder County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the 4500 block of N. Broadway in Boulder on the report of a deceased male. Upon arrival, deputies found 20-year-old Curtis Patterson, a clerk at the Cascade Service Station, deceased in a restroom at the gas station. Patterson had suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest.
