About this Case:

On February 14, 2007 Casey Berry was last seen at approximately 900 am leaving his residence with a friend, Duane Kulakofsky, to go to an acquaintance's residence in a very rural area of Blanca, Costilla County, CO. The acquaintance was a Native American man known only as Bob; he was known to be violent and always carry a rifle. According to Kulakofsky, when Berry did not return from Bob's residence, Kulakofsky went looking for him and found Berry's body and a lot of blood at Bob's home. Bob told them they had got into an argument and that he had shot Berry five times in the head. Bob forced Kulakofsky at gunpoint to help him clean up the mess and put Berry's body in an old car which was set on fire. Kulakofsky agreed to assist in the investigation, but then left town and has not been heard from or seen since. Berry usually wore worn jeans, a t-shirt with a flannel shirt over it, and a beanie or beret. He often wore a beaded hemp necklace. Berry was driving a smaller blue Mazda pickup which belonged to a female roommate. The vehicle has not been recovered.
