Mr. Ernest Macaulay was an avid hiker and loved the outdoors. He was last seen on September 28, 2011, wearing blue jeans, a tan shirt, and a cream-colored cap. He had with him a black backpack and an aluminum trekking pole. It was later determined that Mr. Macaulay may have been suicidal. His vehicle was located at the Long Lake Trailhead in Boulder County.
