About this Case:
On August 23, 1975, the reporting parties entered the Willie Mae Mineshaft at Berthoud Pass, Colorado near the Winter Park Resort to conduct Amex testing for gas content. After making their way inside about 500ft, they smelled the scent of decaying remains, further finding the deceased nude body of Shelley Kay Robertson. It was determined that she had been struck in the head by a blunt force object. At the time of her death, Robertson was attending a Transactional Analysis group. Robertson was a frequent hitchhiker and was seen in July at 34th and Sheridan Streets in Denver hitchhiking to work. On Tuesday, July 1, 1975, Robertson never showed up for work at her father's printing press in Golden. The same day, she was seen by a policeman that noticed her at a service station with an unknown bushy haired bearded man in a beat up old red Chevrolet pick up truck (from around 1952-57). It was the last time she was seen alive. It was then nearly two months later when her body was discovered. Her case may be tied to Ted Bundy.
