About this Case:

John Rice went missing on November 14, 2018, from Longmont, Colorado where he left his family's home. John was known to travel extensively across the United States, from California to Florida. David Rice, John's father, attests to John's adventuring spirit, but admitted that John ultimately finds his way home. 696 days after John left home, his sister reported John missing to the WCSO. John's sister reported she hoped her brother would eventually return home, and she felt reporting him missing was her last chance at finding him. In October of 2020, deputies and detectives from the WCSO embarked on a tireless quest to located John. The investigation led them to Pooler, Georgia where John was allegedly seen in the fall of 2019. Exhausting every conceivable avenue, investigators reached out to local hospitals, police stations, homeless shelters, spanning across both CO and GA. Their efforts proved fruitless. The latest lead places John in the heart of Denver, CO, as recently as September of 2022. Information in 2022 led investigators to believe he may have been in the Denver area because his passport was found in an abandoned vehicle. WCSO asks the public to come forward with any information, no matter how small, to help reunite with John with his loved ones.
