About this Case:
On February 7, 1996, police were called on a report that a person had been assaulted near the Pikes Peak Liquor Store on the corner of Pikes Peak and Wahsatch Boulevard. 40 year old Joseph Talahytewa, a homeless male, was hospitalized and succumbed to his injuries several days later. He was briefly able to communicate, expressing he was assaulted by two people. Hours after undergoing surgery, Mr. Talahytewa slipped into a coma and never regained consciousness.
