About this Case:

Covington was found dead in the 5900 block of US 85 on the night of November 8, 2008 at 11:30pm. An autopsy report revealed he died of blunt-force trauma to the head and had fractures in his left fingers. The case is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run accident, but investigators have not ruled out other scenarios, including assault or falling into the road. On that night, around 9:00-9:30pm, Covington was seen leaving a wedding at El Jardin restaurant near East 72nd Avenue and Colorado 2 wearing a black suit. He left in a car with a female companion. A minor argument with the female companion led him to get out of the car and start walking. He text-messaged a friend at about 10:30pm and was last seen walking on the shoulder of U.S. 85, going south in the northbound lanes.
