About this Case:

In November 1992, Scott was headed west, hauling a load to California, with Lance Wright, an acquaintance, on board. They encountered heavy snow on Interstate-70 and decided to overnight in Hays, Kansas. Scott, who kept a gun in the truck for protection, had nearly $1,000 worth of checks in his vehicle. It is believed he was murdered early in the morning of November 25, 1992. Mr. Stone's truck was discovered, bloodied and burned, on December 7, 1992, in the Denver area. His body was found June 6, 1993 wrapped in a moving blanket under a bridge on 144th Street near Brighton, Colorado, about 300 miles from Hays, by a farmer. Investigations also found that his gun was pawned. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
