On January 14, 1972, 59 year old Eugene Ferris was working at the Brown Palace Hotel as a parking attendant. Mr. Ferris was found by a passerby lying on the floor of the parking shack suffering from stab wounds. Mr. Ferris was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
