About this Case:

On March 13, 1980, around 3:00pm, Patricia Grimberg's daughter came home from school and discovered her mother had been murdered in their home on the 1900 block of South Pearl Street. She had been shot four times and there was evidence of a sexual assault. That afternoon, Ms. Grimberg was seen by neighbors tending to her flowerbeds and spending time with her daughter, as it was her daughter's second birthday. One neighbor reported hearing the gunshot sound that afternoon. At the time of her death, Ms. Grimberg was an active member of her church. Her, Edmund Grimberg, suspects it was a crime of opportunity, specifically that someone happened to be outside and saw his attractive wife working in the yard.
