About this Case:
On October 23, 1981, around 8:30am, Karen Hope, Eric's mother, found him stabbed to death inside his bedroom at his home near Congress Park and University Hospital. His hands had also been tied up behind his back. The night prior, his mother had returned home late and did not check on the boy, as his bedroom door was closed. At the time of his death, he was 12 years old, in 7th grade, and worked the neighborhood paper route. There appeared to be no forced entry into the home, but items were out of place.
