About this Case:

On June 12, 1997, members of the Denver Police Department responded to the intersection of 29th and Arapahoe Streets on a report of a shooting. It was at this location that the victim, subsequently identified as Cleotha Odie Jr., was discovered. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the victim did not survive and was pronounced shortly after arrival. During the course of the on-scene investigation it was reported that a vehicle drove by and that an unknown suspect within this vehicle fired upon the victim as he was walking through the neighborhood. Immediately after the shooting, the suspect vehicle fled the area. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Denver Police Department.
