43 year old Lorraine Pacheco had been blind since she was 17 years old. She lived alone near the 2000 block of Elliot Street. On May 14, 1997, neighbors saw that her house was on fire and pulled her outside. Investigation found she had been murdered prior to the neighbors arrival.
