About this Case:
On April 14, 1980, 56 year old Pearl Ashworth and her mother, Avis King, were found stabbed to death in their apartment located on the 1300 block of Pearl Street. Pearl was nearly blind, and her mother, Avis, was completely blind. Pearl Ashworth was taken to the hospital where she died later that day as a result of her injuries.
